Born in 1960, Emanuela Baglietto graduated from the Faculty of Architecture in Genoa and began collaborating with RENZO PIANO BUILDING WORKSHOP in Genoa in 1988.
He worked as an architect responsible for numerous projects and competitions, including the headquarters of Credito Industriale Sardo in Cagliari. She became a partner in 1997. She was responsible for many projects in Europe and the United States including the Design Center in Stuttgart, the Nasher Sculpture Center in Dallas, the expansion of the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and the Astrup. Fearnley Museum in Oslo. Among the most recent projects we find the Botín Center in Santander. He is currently in charge of a major residential project in Sydney and a project for a museum of contemporary art in Istanbul. He has also lectured in many European countries.

Over the last three years, after about thirty years of work devoted entirely to architecture, he has also begun to take care of the history of the Baglietto shipyards that belonged to the family until 1983. Thus the idea of an exhibition that could be re-established in different places and contexts.

"Organizing the exhibition gave me the opportunity to do a huge job of research and historical cataloging of images and stories of the shipyard of which I had only a vague perception, originated from family stories. I rediscovered the incredible amount of projects realized as the result of the irreducible search for technological evolution and the constant desire for experimentation that has always characterized the making of my family ».
